It was an amazing morning filled with encouragement and hope. We cannot express enough how important it was to have friends and family rally around us. It’s the trade off of being vulnerable; it places you in a position to see how much others care for you.
Now the celebration goes into the next phase where we give and lift up those who struggle around us.

It has come together! We now have details for you about the walk we will be doing in honor of her memory. We are working a fallback plan if the weather does not cooperate and will keep everyone posted.

Afterward we will have some warm drinks and snacks. We hope to have the walk and then allow people to fellowship together afterward. If you ordered a Team Lael shirt and had it shipped to us, we will have it for you that day.
Thank you so much for making our fundraising an overwhelming success. We have been able to raise $3,120 which will go in the Lael Seruyange Family Endowment – money that will go to organizations and places that take care of families going through the difficult and unimaginable. Because of the structure of the endowment, this is money that will be given in perpetuity: for the remainder of our lives and beyond.
Just as important: thank you to everyone who sent a kind word, note of encouragement, or offer of help. If being vulnerable has its reward, it is these connections. If you are like me and have trouble figuring out what to say, I understand. We feel overwhelmed and all of you are loved.
